Accordimg to NYC radio dude Mark Simone (he subs for Hannity on occasion), New York City has announced the dumbest plan ever. They plan to widen the sidewalks on both sides of Fifth Avenue and shrink the street to just one lane each way, creating a traffic nightmare.
Fifth Avenue is a major thoroughfare in the borough of Manhattan in New York City. The avenue runs south from West 143rd Street in Harlem to Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village. The section in Midtown Manhattan is one of the most expensive shopping streets in the world.
It will cost $400 million of taxpayers money and cause a massive congestion problem. Only the world’s dumbest politicians could dream up something this idiotic. As if traffic in Midtown isn't fucked up enough already. Urban planners are part of the scumbag treehugging coalition to get all of us out of our cars entirely.
IMO, that would go a long way towards taking away our personal freedom.

last time I was in NYC was over 20 years ago. the place was a mess. traffic a nightmare to be sure.
