'Queso it - it's the fuzz...'

Chicago declared itself a “Sanctuary City,” which bars local law enforcement from cooperating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement on federal immigration laws. Chicago has cancelled all planned Cinco de Mayo festivities.
According to CNN, UnidosUs, the nation’s largest Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization, “found that 43% of Latino voters fear immigration authorities will arrest people, even if they are US citizens.”
“The city of Philadelphia also canceled its El Carnaval de Puebla festival this year, an annual event in April that celebrates Mexican culture.” Olga Renteria, the festival organizer, said that people are being 'cautious'. In Oregon, organizers also canceled the annual Latino Fest scheduled for December in Madras.

  1. My little town is easily 40+% Hispanic. Nobody cancelled events yesterday. I think much of this is likely a whole lot of b.s. "leaders" just say for effect.

  2. Latinos who are citizens or legal residents have nothing to fear from ICE.
So now we know that 43% of Latino voters are illegals.....

  4. I was born in the late 50s in CA to a poor white family in a town that was split equally between white, mexican, and asian. There were no racism and we all got along. My BF was mexican and his mom was like my second mom.
