It's all bullshit and bluster, but it gets the job done...

Sometimes it's a whisper, and sometimes ya gotta shout. Listen - threatening tariffs on China gets them to the table, and the rest is whatever. Without the US economy, China's economy goes to shit and they know it. After Trump had to put a figurative gun to their Chicommie heads, it appears the wheels are finally turning.
China and the US have agreed a 90-day pause to the deepening trade war that has threatened to upend the global economy, with reciprocal tariffs to be lowered by 115%. Speaking to the media after talks in Geneva, the US treasury secretary, Scott Bessent, said both sides had shown “great respect” in the negotiations. Bessent said: “The consensus from both delegations this weekend was neither side wants a decoupling.”
The 90-day lowering of tariffs applies to the duties announced by Donald Trump on 2 April, which ultimately escalated to 125% on Chinese imports, with Beijing responding with equivalent measures. China also imposed non-tariff measures, such as restricting the export of critical minerals that are essential to US manufacturing of hi-tech goods.

I had no idea - did you?

I think maybe the use of the word 'never' is a bit misleading in this sense. The dates that are printed on the cans and labels are called 'best if used by' dates, not 'expiration dates'. The reality of this is that most - if not all - of these products are pre-cooked and sealed in air-tight conditions so that their shelf lives are almost undeterminable. Whether or not you'd trust a 20 year old can of chicken is up to you. Juss' sayin'...

South Florida's housing market is undergoing a sharp reversal as the number of homes for sale climbs to its highest level in nearly a decade - quadrupling since 2022...

Real estate analysts say the surge is driven by a drop in demand and a wave of homeowners deciding to sell amid rising costs and stagnant affordability.

Trump has yet to accept the 'gift', but this jerkoff from New York had to knee-jerk his way in to the headlines. Torres - a Dimocrat, of course -  requested an "immediate" ethics review of the reported gift and an advisory opinion on whether it violates federal ethics rules or the Emoluments Clause of the U.S. Constitution. He also requested  a recommendation on "policy reforms to prevent the conversion of foreign gifts into private property by current or former presidents."
The Dimocratic National Committee harshly criticized the Trump administration for the gift, writing in a press release that "while working families brace for higher costs and empty shelves, Trump is still focusing on enriching himself and his billionaire backers." The press release added that "Trump gutted anti-corruption enforcement on Day One and installed a loyalist in key oversight positions, while enriching himself and his billionaire Cabinet."
The Dimocrats we're experiencing now are the angriest bunch of jerkoffs to come down the pike in a long, long time. Has a single one of them had anything to contribute to the improvement of the country? Fuck if I know...

Maybe that's why there are so many stinkers...

I'm not promoting this piece but I saw their pop-up ad and found it interesting. Instead of cocking the slide to load your first round, you just pop up the barrel. There's a video on YouTube that describes it. Very innovative...

  1. Girsan: or you could just carry one in the chamber although that depends on firing mechanism. Racking is way faster than the tipping barrel, too.

  5. People were betting that after black had hit on the roulette wheel several times that the next time it just had to hit red. Nope it hit on black 26 times in a row. Not rigged just random.

  8. Remember how upset democrats were when Hillary Clinton "converted" to her private ownership truckloads of foreign gifts, White House furniture, silver and china as she cleaned out the White House at the end of the Clinton second term?
    Me neither.
She stole so much stuff that even the Deep State bureaucracy was embarrassed by her effrontery and made her return some of her loot back to the government. Of course with Hillary being a democrat superstar there were no penalties levied on her for the blatant theft.

  9. Trade war Trump started? No. China started the trade war and the US just stood there and took it. Reciprocal tariffs match the other countries tariffs. The trade war was raging for a long time before the US finally fired a shot.

How did it get the job done, please explain that us? Trump put in place the 115% additional tariffs and now he's backing down calling it a win, China didn't flinch. In 90 days' time he's gonna chuck his rattle out the cot again, bullshit and bluster indeed.

  12. Nah, the pistol isn't innovative, it just means that Beretta's patents have run out.

  13. Beretta was doing "pop-up" decades ago. I came across a Beretta .22Short a decade ago, new, a safe-queen, receipt was mid-late '70s, I believe.
