How did they learn to do that 'Black Smoke/White Smoke' thing? They went to the movies...

Turns out to be true. And kinda funny if you think about it. Reports indicate that some of the new-guy cardinals who were participating in the recent papal conclave reportedly watched the movie "Conclave" to gain insights into the process of electing a new pope. The movie, while fictional, was praised for its accuracy in depicting the rituals and procedures involved in the conclave. Some cardinals, particularly those appointed by Pope Francis who had not previously experienced a conclave, reportedly consulted the film for guidance.
Some clerics reportedly watched the movie in theaters, according to Politico, and it was seen as remarkably accurate.
Many of the cardinals participating in the conclave were appointed by Pope Francis and were unfamiliar with the process, making "Conclave" a useful resource for understanding the rituals and protocols.
An article on People.com reported that Pope Leo XIV, who was previously Cardinal Robert Prevost, watched the movie and played games with his brother to prepare for the conclave.
