Coupla reasons why I would never own a condo? First and foremost is the condo board thing. Ain't no fuckin' way I'm gonna let some jerkoff I don't know tell me what I can and cannot do with my home. Also, I'd never wanna live any place that I had to take an elevator to get to my living room. Just ain't my style. All that 'special assessment' shit is for the birds, too. Buddy of mine got whacked $16,000.00 for a new roof on his building, and he lives on the first floor ferfucksakes. Should the guys on the top floor have to pay for that? Juss' sayin'...

ReplyDeleteSo you don't have amenity fees, annual maintenance fees, community standards set by the Community Development Districts, pet restrictions etc? Yeah, nobody's telling you what to do...
ReplyDeleteThat's always been the catch in Condos. They sell new with low association fees to make them attractive. When the board warns that the fees must be increased for accrual reason, everyone bitches and votes 'no' since everything is fine and the money isn't needed. Then the place starts to get run down and nobody wants to pay high fees "since they never fix anything in this dump anyhow." Finally one day the roof literally falls in.
