Giving new meaning to meaninglessness. Say that three times fast...

It's almost as if they were afraid to say it out loud - a new rule introduced by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to ensure voters have seen all the films in a category before they cast their ballots has provoked disquiet online, with many expressing surprise it wasn’t already a requirement.
A raft of measures were announced by the Oscars governing body on Monday, including the stipulation that “Academy members must now watch all nominated films in each category to be eligible to vote in the final round for the Oscars”.
“Absolutely insane this wasn’t already a thing,” wrote one person on X, a sentiment echoed by many others, who questioned the validity of previous Academy decisions and theorised about the reasons key titles had been celebrated – or snubbed.
I have another suggestion for them. Make it a rule if you say one fuckin' peep about politics during the event you get banned for life. Sounds good to me. Personally, the last movie I saw in a theater was in 1999. True story.

  2. Whaaaat?
    Watch the movie?
I always voted based on the amount of genders and skin colors in the movie, and the amount of rapes by producers.
    Weird!

  3. I don't watch the award shows but I'm glad they talk about politics. How else would we know they're a bunch of commie fags? The truth will set you free and all that.

  4. It was a rule back when we were kids.

  5. I haven't been in a movie theatre since 1989 or 1990. On rare occasion I'll watch an old movie or one I know is funny and I want to watch again. Having seen a few previews and reviews I'm confident I'm not missing anything these days.

Regular or high test? There's a question ya don't hear much any more...

Premium gas sounds like it’s something special. But it translates into paying extra for a higher octane without any performance or fuel-eco...
