It's said - even here in this short video - that J.D. Rockefeller paid scientists to call oil a fossil fuel at the 1892 Geneva Convention to “induce the idea of scarcity”. This claim is false. Scientists had used the phrase “fossil fuel” as early as 1759 before J.D. Rockefeller’s birth, and there is no evidence it was discussed by chemists at an 1892 meeting in Geneva about naming compounds. The reality of it is, though, that fossils and oil have absolutely nothing to do with each other, so believe what you will.

ReplyDeleteYou must agree those that under the last administration, looking for oil was shut down by a fossil.
An Australian study found that oil will replenish in as little as 16 months. Of course they were silenced.
ReplyDeleteI have been aware of this for 20-25 years. The truth was out there the whole time. Where was the 60 Minutes expose'?
ReplyDeleteCoal is a fossil fuel, leaf imprints have been found in hard coal from the peat bogs which eventually became coal.
ReplyDeleteYou're wasting your time here.
Deletekind of funny that my grandfather used old motor oil on his fence posts. the funny part was by the next summer, grass just grew better around them ? also, my own dad used to laugh at the talk about "fossil fuels" when it came up in the news.
ReplyDeleteback then he even said there was nothing "fossil" about them. and this was back during the "gas shortage" days too.
he said it was just to get the price higher than before. weird right ?
Doesn't matter what you call it or how it's created. The reality is we use it up FAR faster then it's created. So it IS a limited resource.
