Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer announced Wednesday that Democrats will not support a House Republican-passed bill to fund the federal government through the end of September, all but ensuring a partial shutdown beginning at 11:59 p.m. Friday. “Funding the government should be a bipartisan effort but Republicans chose a partisan path, drafting their [continuing resolution] without any input — any input — from congressional Democrats,” Schumer said on the Senate floor Wednesday.”
Because of that, Republicans do not have the votes in the Senate to invoke cloture on the House CR. Our caucus is unified on a clean April 11 CR that will keep the government open and give Congress time to negotiate bipartisan legislation that can pass.”
Trump was quoted today saying that Schumer is 'no longer a Jew - he's a Palestinian now.' Love him or hate him, DJT's got balls of steel...

What does shutting down the criminal government have to do with shutting down the country? The country would do FAR BETTER if the government were permanently shut down.
ReplyDeleteChucky-Boy seems to have forgotten all about the bi-partisanship we enjoyed in the passage of Obamacare.
ReplyDeleteSo it's okay for them to force a bill through, like Obamacare, but it's evil and wrong when the Republicans do it?
ReplyDeleteOh Chuck U. Schumer, how many budgets have you rammed through over the decades with zero Republican input? What a POS.
ReplyDeleteI'm fine with evil Chuckie shutting the DotGov down, no matter how or who is responsible. There is NEVER a downside to turning off the gears of power.
ReplyDeleteShould be chucky FU schumer. What a libturd dick.
