New labor statistics were released today. The latest labor statistics from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) show that in January 2025, nonfarm payroll employment increased by 143,000 jobs. The unemployment rate was 4.0%.
These numbers do not include workers who are 'not on the books' (ie: Illegals) If those workers - roofers, landscapers, etc. - were factored in, they would represent 88% of the new jobs created in the last 12 months.

ReplyDelete60k a year to work 300 ft up in all weather conditions. Saw a video on this a couple weeks ago. Also saw a story where 2 guys were working on one when it caught fire. No escape and no rescue possible.
ReplyDeleteWind turbine disposal tech, maybe. With Trump coming into office wind turbines are finally acknowledged as the wastes of money they always have been.
ReplyDeleteThe unemployment rate being 4% also does not count the people that have give up and are no longer looking. The January 2025 Labor participation rate was 62.6%. Meaning 37.4% of the people are unemployed and are not bothering to look for work.
