When did halftime get so dark?

There is only one caucasian performer featured
in the entire program...
Christian singer Lauren Daigle will join musician Trombone Shorty (a black guy) to perform “America The Beautiful” during the Super Bowl pre-game show at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Her 2018 album, Look Up Child, spent 44 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Christian Albums chart. It’s lead hit single, “You Say," also broke records. Both the song and the album won awards at the 2019 Grammys.
Daigle’s performance in NOLA during one of the most-watched TV events in the world comes years after New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell (a black woman) called for her to be removed as a performer when the city hosted “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Celebration.”
For the record, this is not a racist rant or anything like it. I'm just sayin' the entertainment is specifically directed at a group of people I don't belong to...

  1. I'm just sayin' the entertainment is specifically directed at a group of people I don't belong to... And now we know what it feels like to not be the target audience.

  3. I see no problem with pointing out reverse racism or racism because someone will surely say there's no reverse racism.

  9. The only televised event where people watch for the commercials.

Not that I watch it; football died for me when that 2-14 quarterback decided to take a giant shit on the country that gave him everything he had. As a result, every sporting event was guaranteed to have at least one athlete do the "Look at MEEEEE" during the opening ceremony.

  10. I just wonder when the NFL came to the conclusion that no white people watch the Super Bowl. Clearly it's been at least several years.
