Our latest obsession - There have been nearly 1,000 reported drone sightings in New Jersey in less than a month, according to data collected by the state’s Office of Emergency Management. The analysis revealed 964 unmanned aircraft systems sightings were reported between Nov. 19 and Dec. 13, with the majority - 243 - in suburban Hunterdon County.
On Thursday night alone, 193 drone sightings were called in. The night skies were also busy on Dec. 4, when 141 drones were seen hovering above.

ReplyDeleteGS is an old acquaintance--never a close friend. Sort of guy who'd be really nice to hang out with at Starbucks, then tell a girl she'd be safer crossing Dupont Circle at night than he would (this did happen to be true though). One summer he and I, being Independents, applied for jobs with the D and R parties. They found other girls. The Ds called GS, possibly attracted to a minority-type name, and gave him a fantastic break. The job happened to involve telling lies, being lied about, and teetering on the edge of a breakdown. So now he's rich and famous enough to be sued for some of his millions, and I'm poor and obscure, and sometimes I wonder which of us made the worse choices. This much I know. Any lie George told the public, other people told the public first. He participated in other people's lies and has often had to carry the proverbial can. He's old enough not to have to do that any more, but I suppose it becomes a habit. In real life he's easy to like. And feel sorry for. I'd upgrade his nickname from *those* to Can Carrier.
