Well, I guess it's better that I'm here and able to prep for the storm (you know, beer, FireBall, toilet paper) than if I was still in Ireland.
Florida residents have been urged to complete their preparations for Hurricane Helene by Wednesday night as the major storm is expected to make landfall Thursday.
Those in the Florida Panhandle, the Big Bend region, and the central and eastern Gulf coast have been advised to stock up on groceries, gas, batteries, and more. The storm - forecast to become a Category 3 hurricane when it makes landfall, possibly in the Big Bend area - is expected to be the strongest of the season with potential flooding, destructive winds and a life-threatening storm surge, according to AccuWeather. Hopefully, it'll be well north and west of us. We'll see...
