Hooters is set to open three restaurants in an unexpected location and it's causing uproar among some in our tight-ass local community. The restaurant, known for its scantily clad waitresses, has announced it is opening new restaurants in Florida retirement hotspot, The Villages (yup, where I live). The company claims the move - to what is widely regarded as the largest retirement community in the world - is meeting a popular demand. But some local women are far from impressed.
One such resident, Barbara Procko, wrote to local paper Villages News about the 'trashy' establishment she fears will lower the tone of the community. 'What brain trust thinks a Hooters establishment is a good fit for a senior retirement community?' Procko wrote to the outlet's editor. She doesn't like the idea that her husband might actually enjoy looking at pretty, well-built young ladies serving drinks and wings.
But others among us are a little more level-headed about it:
You really don't wanna see what the babes at the pools look like. Yikes...
And, yes, there is a section of our development called Chitty-Chatty for god knows what reason, but that's another story. Find the rest of this article here.
I, for one, am A-O-Fuckin'-K with this idea. The average age around here hovers around 103. Of course I'd like the idea.
We might be old on the outside but still quite alive on the inside. My body is 75 but my mind isn't.

DeleteSome of those old biddies really hate that their old men are going to like to go to the Hooters and reminisce. Jealousy and failure to truly care about their men. It's really kind of sad.
