It's pretty hard to stop at a red light when the red light ain't there no mo'. Juss' sayin'...

It's a problem nationwide, but especially so in those cities where the cops can't lock anybody up for anything. The thieves are stealing any metals they can scrap for quick cash - especially copper, so any exposed wiring of any kind is a target. In Oakland, California, it's gotten so bad that they don't even bother to replace them - they just revert to STOP signs.
