Calling all crackpots - your theories are evolving...

Social media platforms are being flooded with claims that the shooting was staged. By the left AND the right.
People have too much free time...

Conspiracy theories that the assassination attempt on Trump was staged flooded the internet almost immediately after the shooting suspect opened fire. "Donald Trump continues to play in our faces!! This was SO staged!!! If someone REALLY wanted to take him out, they wouldn’t use a BB Gun!!" one person posted on X a little more than an hour after the shooting. Some social media users even falsely claimed that Trump faked the blood coming from his ear with a "blood pill."
And then, of course, the MSM has to jump in and report on the social media postings, and then social media posting reply to the MSM stories, and the shit continues to roll downhill for ever.

“America doesn't rely on bullets to resolve any differences but on ballot boxes. In America, we resolve our differences at the ballot box, not with bullets.”

Former Secret Service Director Julia Pierson told USA TODAY that maintaining such a sniper security perimeter is part of the agency's responsibility for safeguarding "protectees" like Trump from harm. Yet the man identified as the sniper, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, fired off numerous rounds from a building top about 150 yards from Trump's lectern at Saturday's rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
It's worth noting, however, that Julia Ann Pierson  served as the 23rd Director of the United States Secret Service. Pierson became director on March 27, 2013. Amid a series of security lapses involving the agency, Pierson resigned on October 1, 2014.
So the question is, why is USAToday even talking to her about fuck-ups in security? Did she invent a coupla new ways to drop the ball, so she'd be some kinda expert on security fuck-ups?

Just a little FYI - Sumter County and The Villages are almost the same exact thing. The Villages is a planned-development community in north central Florida that is the center of the Wildwood-The Villages, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), which includes all of Sumter County. The Villages also extends into Lake (where I live) and Marion counties, but 80% of its residents live in Sumter.

  1. I see that retirement communities in New Hampshire and Vermont aren't doing too badly either, and Maine's elderly beat out the rest of the nation.

  4. Your D Day graphic casualties are contradicted by several sources. I'll consider Britannica authoritative: A total of 4,414 Allied troops were killed on D-Day itself, including 2,501 Americans. More than 5,000 were wounded.
