"Conservatism"?! What a load of malarkey! The New Coke was awful, it was universally detested. What's more, its replacement, which was high fructose corn syrup-sweetened Coke Classic, has never been as good as the original sugar-sweetened Coca-Cola.

ReplyDeleteI'm thinking the 'New Coke' change was an excuse for Coca Cola to change the sweetener from cane sugar to corn syrup and prevent the direct comparison of the new and old. There was about a year of the 'new coke' to purge the shelves of the old stuff. Just my conspiracy theory!
