The ole' Cracker Barrel ain't what it usta be, but it's still damn good for breakfast...

Like I said, maybe it isn't as busy as it once was, but the food and service are still pretty damn good. Ever see one on Thanksgiving morning? There's a line of a hundred cars at every one picking up full TGD dinner fixin', so they must be doing something right. Maybe they need to change their messaging a bit.
I personally hope they hang around.
Two eggs over easy, bacon, hash browns and two pancakes, please.

  3. They made a big marketing error when they painted some of their rocking chairs like rainbows and pushed LBGTQ propaganda, just like Anheuser Busch/Bud Light. That is NOT their market. They forgot who their customers were, who have no desire to have that crap pushed on them 24/7.

  4. Cracker Barrel: years ago, good spot. Regular stop on road trips, or even a weekend for breakfast. Today? Total suckage. We stopped at one in central NC a couple years ago, looking for an early lunch, based on previous good experiences. Disaster. 80% of the dining room was closed, forcing a 30-40 minute wait for a table. Food was obviously microwaved, waitstaff indifferent, prices too high. Grossly understaffed. That was it. We're done with them- and we are dead center in their target demographic. In retrospect, should have just walked across the street when the wait hit 15 minutes.

  5. I think they had trouble keeping running like normal during the Covid years, but now things are getting better. I still think of them as a family-friendly breakfast or lunch stop on long road trips if you want a sit-down meal.

  7. Expect another democrat president to cancel the B-21 before we have the same capability we now have with the B-52, B-1, and the B-2.
