The story of my life?

...

I guess their 'grand experiment' didn't work out the way they thought it would. A bill recriminalizing the possession of small amounts of drugs was passed by the Oregon Legislature on Friday, undoing a key part of the state’s first-in-the-nation drug decriminalization law as governments struggle to respond to the deadliest overdose crisis in US history.
The state Senate approved House Bill 4002 in a 21-8 vote after the House passed it 51-7 on Thursday. The bill now heads to the desk of Gov. Tina Kotek, who said in January that she is open to signing a bill that would roll back decriminalization. Nice try guys...

The move serves as the latest example of the state's efforts to eliminate DEI initiatives from public institutions. University Director of Public Affairs Cynthia Roldan confirmed the cut consisted of 13 full-time positions, as well 15 administrative appointments - 28 positions in total. It also marks an end to the school's office devoted to diversity, opened just six years ago.
The next year, Republican Ron DeSantis would become governor, and has since passed a litany of laws to rid schools of lessons and literature surrounding DEI. The leaked memo cites one such law - a state Board of Governors regulation that prohibits public universities in the state from expending state or federal funds to maintain programs that 'advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion.'
Ron would have been a very good President. Maybe he still will run in '28...

American families struggling with high food prices due to inflation should eat cereal for dinner in order to save money, Kellogg’s CEO Gary Pilnick, said yesterday. Pilnick went on to suggest that the fact that consumers are currently under financial pressure is a good marketing opportunity for Kellogg’s.
The Kellogg’s CEO added that “cereal for dinner is something that is probably more on trend now, and we would expect it to continue as that consumer is under pressure.”

  1. So now where do all the Gender Studies graduates go for jobs? McDonalds isn't hiring either.

  2. you may have forgotten to mention that the citations handed out by the Portland will go in the garbage - or if they ever come before an Oregon (highly unlikely) will be disregarded and laughed out of court

  3. Reversing Portland's open air drug market idea is too late. Liberalism not only destroyed the city, but it also attracted lowlifes from all over the country. Takers now outnumber makers. Those who vote for a living outnumber those who work for a living. Tax paying job creators are moving out, bums and drug addicts are moving in. The media, legal system, all levels of government, and the education system are all infested with DEI and Affirmative Action types. Most voters do not care. The Police Bureau is a joke, the DA is a Soros guy, and the jury pool is useless. Portland's mayor saw what the democrat party did to San Francisco . Portland's mayor told San Francisco's mayor "hold my beer."
