Since when does exchanging one very good, descriptive word to a stupid one make any sense?

The way anything is couched in a report of any kind tells you everything you need to know about the agenda of the author. In this case, the writer for The Guardian (a very liberal news outlet) says this:
"People who are unhoused in Florida will be banned from sleeping in parks and on sidewalks under a new law signed by Ron DeSantis, the state’s Republican governor. The law, which critics have said will do little to address the issue of homelessness in Florida, will require counties to create “temporary campsites” if homeless shelters reach maximum capacity.
“These are difficult issues, but you should not be accosted by a homeless like we see,” DeSantis said at Wednesday’s news conference. “You should be able to walk down the street and live your life.”
Coupla points to be made here.
The term 'unhoused' is genuinely stupid. Period.
Also, the bill doesn't say that people should be thrown out of parks. It says that the counties have an obligation to create safe, reasonable campsites or other area for the homeless to stay in when their shelters are full. Why make him out to be a demon when in fact he's trying to do something good?

He (the writer) goes on to say that 'DeSantis, a hard-right Republican who dropped out of the Republican presidential primary in January, has regularly criticized the housing problem in Democratic-run cities including New York and San Francisco.'
Why throw that shit in to the mix? Democrat/liberal mayors and governors do stupid shit all the time - it's a fact.

  1. I got an idea that will not stop it entirely, but greatly reduce the number of bums from littering public parks. Round ''em up, turn them into dog food and donate the product free to animal shelters. It's a Win-Win..

  2. In the olden Old Days, we called those people "Bums" or "Hobos."

  3. What these critics should do is take all these homeless into their homes. That would the problem for Florida.

  4. I wonder how many of the "unhoused" are "newcomers".
