ReplyDeleteYep. They knew how to keep their mouths shut. They understood and practiced "need to know." They knew there was someone higher in the chain that was responsible for making decisions, giving orders and was required to know more than they did. Now, it seems every pissant Private or desk-bound/CONUS-based "analyst" that has access to (a tiny fraction of) classified information feels duty-bound to divulge that information simply because they don't agree with those that give the orders/make policy. That hubris gets good people killed.
