Had to look up the Cowsills. My mom had the Hair album. I wore that thing out before I discovered Kiss. I was a country kid and the spectacle of Hair and then Kiss(my dad's girlfriend had their first album) blew my young mind. Then 10 year old me discovered Tommy from The Who and Dark side of The Moon.

ReplyDeleteI recall this from my youth (the bloke across the road was into theatre and had a role in the local musical version as a claim to fame) but see it as a spoof rather than serious. For all that the harmony is decent and the song not cringe worthy compared to a lot of the rubbish we hear nowadays. I was always pretty sensible when young so was never really weird.
