ReplyDeleteI think it would be a great idea for Kindergartners (and all grades above rhough high school) to begin to learn the history of communism; there are a several Cubans I know, escapees to the U.S, several years back, who'd be happy to teach this course. If more teachers are needed, I also know some Hungarians and East Germans who speak good, but somewhat accented English.
ReplyDeleteLet's teach Ayn Rand's definition of the difference between socialism and communism...."One is voted in, the other is implemented by force.....it's the difference between suicide and murder"....I remember being taught that one of the first things communists do once they establish a foothold is to replace God with the state, and to destroy the family unit....sound familiar?....just look at the democrat party in this country....

ReplyDeleteWell, I had to take AVC ("Americanism vs. Communism") in the sixth grade. What's the big deal? I'm not sure exactly how you package this for kids who barely know anything outside a half-mile radius, though.
