You think you're reading 'the news', but you're not, really...

It's about time we all realize that any reporting on any subject - anywhere in the media in any form - is filtered by opinion...

The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and the New York Post walked in to a bar together. The three all came out with dramtically different takes on what happened while they were in there. My point? No matter what you are seeing or hearing, it's going to be filtered by the author, the reporter, the editor or whoever the fuck to fit their own agenda and world view. Take this for example - a sampling of sources relating to the same subject:

So you're left with choosing the story that best fits what you want to hear after all, right? I mean, it's not like you're going to willfully  delve in to a subject that doesn't suit your own presonal proclivity, are ya? Juss' sayin'. Don't know what, but still juss'...

The US supreme court has decided it will not hear a case centering on the debate over bathrooms for transgender students. The decision came on Tuesday despite an appeal from Indiana’s metropolitan school district of Martinsville. Martinsville school district officials hoped the nation’s highest court would not require allowing transgender students to use the bathrooms of their choosing, but the supreme court rejected the case without comment.
Federal appeals courts are divided over whether school policies enforcing restrictions on which bathrooms transgender students can use violate federal law or the US constitution.

NPR reports that ABC News has canceled its Republican primary debate that was scheduled for Thursday. The news organization said it does not have enough candidates who are participating. "Our intent was to host a debate coming out of the Iowa caucuses, but we always knew that would be contingent on the candidates and the outcome of the race," ABC News reported Tuesday. "As a result, while our robust election coverage will continue, ABC News and [local news station] WMUR-TV will not be moving forward with Thursday's Republican presidential primary debate in New Hampshire." The outlet said candidates Nikki Haley and Donald Trump did not confirm their participation by the deadline that ABC News set in place.

    1. If NYSRPA v Bruen is any indication, no matter what SCOTUS rules, state, county and city governments are going to do whatever they fuck they want.
