Now I understand why they don't call it 'global warming' anymore...

Media outlets are reporting this morning that an arctic chill extending from coast to coast will bring blizzards, floodings, gusty winds and hazardous ice as more than 200 Americans brace for below-freezing temperatures this week. Winter Storm Heather has already caused several storms with winds reaching 70 mph in the South, where the worst part of the arctic air is yet to come. Snow is expected to hit the South for the first time this winter along with winds of 10 to 25 mph — which could cause frostbite to exposed skin in just 30 minutes.

According to TheHill.com, just under half of likely Iowa GOP
caucusgoers who support former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley indicated that they would make a crossover to the Democratic party, saying that they would rather vote for President Biden over former President Trump.
A new NBC News/Des Moines Register/Mediacom poll released just one day before the Iowa caucuses found that 43 percent of Haley backers in the state said they would vote for Biden if Trump is the GOP nominee, while 23 percent say they would vote for the former president. Eight percent said they would vote for independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Overall, 71 percent of likely GOP caucusgoers said they would vote for Trump in 2024, while only 11 percent said they would vote for Biden.

I've said it more than a few times here over the years,
but I will continue saying it. I have yet to find one pizza (outside my house that is) that raises to a level anywhere just above 'bearly tolerable'.
This is the pie I made last night with dough from Publix. I promise you it did not suck. Ya know what else sucks about pizza here in North Central Florida? In nine years of living here, I've found a total of just ONE pizza joint that'll sell you a slice. WTF is up with that?

The Villages (where I live, if ya didn't know that) is on its way to approaching 900 holes of golf. With 747 holes of golf now available, The Villages is already the single largest golf community in the world. Looking forward, The Villages has announced three championship golf clubs with a total of 63 holes under development south of Florida’s Turnpike. Plans for the area around Eastport also includes four championship courses (36 new holes) and an 18-hole pitch and putt course.
I toldja - this place is fuckin' huge...

  2. Try Costco pizza at their food court - eat there or carry out.
The pizza is very good and the most like NY style we have found in Florida.
Get it by the huge slice for $1.99 or get a full 18" cheese or pepperoni for $9.95.
Costco food court prices are way below local averages.
A comparable 18" pizza is easily twice that and more elsewhere in my area.
We have had pizza at several Costco locations and all were consistent in quality and taste.
I believe there is a Costco not too far from you in Clermont.
