And it's not that the trains are dangerous - the people are idiots. In almost every instance, they've been killed crossing the tracks in front of the on-coming trains when the gates were down and the bells were a'clangin'.

It is 100% on the 'victim.' It is a real issue in the Miami area that tweakers and other drug users go onto the railroad tracks and overdose or almost overdose and then get splatted.
ReplyDeleteAs to every 'crossing' issue, again, the trains make lots of noise, have flashing lights, aren't going the max speed of 120mph, more like 60mph or slower, and the jerks keep getting themselves killed.
I was going to comment that it ain't the rail line, it's Florida Man/Woman that's the problem.
