ReplyDeleteNot the "30th," it's the 3rd Division, "The Rock of the Marne," in which my uncle served. And those are not M1917 Enfield rifles, they're M1903 Springfield rifles (my cousin had one of those Springfields).

ReplyDeleteAccording to the web search, the very first two-piece bathing suit was developed by a French designer in 1946...so this 1935 photo seems to be a fake.
ReplyDeleteYou are probably referring to the bikini swim suit. These are not bikinis. They are simply two piece suits available before the bikini was introduced.
