In the name of 'inclusion' shit's getting out of hand.

If the idea is that you have to let anyone compete in any competition of any kind, lines get blurred and I get confused...

'We have a couple of trannies and a few married women and a lesbian or two but no fat chicks. Where are we gonna find one for our inclusion promotion?'
Well, there ya go. Hey - don't get me wrong - some people are overweight for a variety of reasons, sometimes medical, sometimes genetic, sometimes for no other reason than they eat too much or have glandular problems. I am sympathetic if that's not your life-style choice. It's just the idea that it ain't how I remember beauty contests usta be. Garrett, who placed in the top 20, is using her Miss Universe platform to advocate for mental and hormonal health and discuss the depression she has struggled with due to her PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome -PCOS - is a condition in which the ovaries produce an abnormal amount of androgens, male sex hormones that are usually present in women in small amounts. The name polycystic ovary syndrome describes the numerous small cysts - fluid-filled sacs - that form in the ovaries.)
"As a curvy woman who doesn't follow certain beauty standards, I'm here to represent all women," she said. I couldn't said it better...

Both the treasury secretary, Janet Yellen, and Fed chairman, Jerome Powell, were wrong about inflation, having first called rising prices “transitory” after Covid disrupted the entire world’s supply chain.

I have to believe that not a single person who screamed for 'sanctuary this and sanctuary that' ever gave a moments fore-thought to what the devil was that they were unleashing. Now that whole nightmare is becoming a reality. Newly arriving migrant families (let's call them what they are - freeloaders and homeless people) have been sleeping at Boston’s Logan International Airport after the state’s shelter system reached its capacity and lawmakers failed to approve $250 million in emergency funding.
There were about a dozen French, Spanish, and Creole-speaking families with young children sleeping on or near benches in a baggage claim section of the airport, just days after the number of homeless families seeking emergency shelter hit the 7,500-family threshold.
One family that traveled from Haiti to Texas before landing at Logan said that state officials in Texas paid for their airfare to Logan. Others arrived from Chile and Mexico on flights out of San Antonio.
These bleeding heart liberals have created a monster they have no control over. So fuckin' stupid.

That's subtle. I like subtle...

A Los Angeles homeowner who opened fire on armed intruders said the State of California has suspended his gun license.
Vince Ricci was coming home from the gym when two intruders jumped the fence onto his property and pointed guns at his chest earlier this month. Moments later, Ricci dropped his coffee cup and pulled out a gun, opening fire, causing the bandits to quickly flee. Now the father-of-one is claiming California “temporarily suspended” his concealed carry permit.
“California has now decided to suspend my Second Amendment,” he said in a video posted by the National Rifle Association (NRA). “In an effort to protect my family, I drew my gun and returned gunfire. As a result of that night, the California government has temporarily suspended my ability to conceal carry.
My first thought on seeing this was about how difficult it must be to get a CCP in California in the first place. The article didn't address that.

There are conflicting stories behind this. Some say they were squatters all along, others say they owned the house but never paid taxes. No matter what's what, the headline's pretty funny none the less.

  2. Thank you for the graphic that includes Book Stacks - I remember using it during the early internet years, and since then, trying to find a reference to it (I could not remember the name). Everyone kept insisting that I meant the early Amazon company. Nope, it was in Cleveland, and I remember using the bulletin board that offered it.
I also remember Cleveland Library had just started using an online book reservation system. Very handy for technical books, and much cheaper than buying them.
Between the two resources, I was able to be on top of my job (IT admin).

  3. Reference the short trips..... there is a really lazy bastard that lives here in my town. The guy lives about 50 yards from a church and I see him drive to the church all the time. All he has to do is walk across his large backyard. But, no. I think he is the pastor. He is damn sure a lazy ass mo fo.
