Honoring the 'Greatest Generation's on Veterans Day...

Veterans Day ceremonies across the nation of course honor
those military members who served in wars long past and more recent. But as America's oldest living veterans, those who served in World War II hold a special place of recognition for many organizations like Veterans of Foreign Wars that on Saturday will hold ceremonies.
Extolling World War II veterans as "our oldest symbols of valor and determination," VFW National Commander Duane Sarmiento told USA TODAY that Veterans Day should be seen as a duty of Americans "to honor this fading generation."
This is a really nice article celebrating WWII veterans explaining the effors to keep their memories and legancies for the future. Find it here:

  1. The problem is that veterans of a war that appeared to have a point (deeper investigations reveal it was just as pointless as all the rest, and as corruption-filled too), pretend that all other "wars" have the same purpose/import. They DON'T.
