ReplyDeletegoing out at dawn to play and coming home for supper that evening ( that was a must then,,, sitting around the table with family), climbing trees, drinking from garden hoses whether they were ours or the neighbors. we went absolutely everywhere on our bicycles. dirt clod or BB gun wars (it's a wonder any of us have an eyeball left in our heads ). kids don't go outside and play anymore. they don't know the joy of a mother's love, mercurochrome and iodine. it's no wonder kids now stay so sick, they have never been naturally vaccinated.
