That'd be around 4,000 retail locations going bust and eliminating somewhere in the vicinity of 45,000 jobs.

As for the stamp price-- using recognized inflation calculators-- that 8 cents in 1973 is equivalent to 55 cents in 2023 -- so its still gone "up" but really only by 11 cents ($.55 vs .66)
