Democrat Rep. Jamal Bowman (left) was allegedly caught on camera (security footage, middle) pulling the fire alarm in the Cannon Building, which houses numerous Congressional office spaces, as thee house was voting to prevent a government shutdown. Bowman's antics led to an evacuation of the building, which came as House representatives were readying to vote on a bill that would avert a government shutdown less than 12 hours before a deadline.
Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (right) lead the condemnation of Bowman while the GOP is working on a resolution to expel him from Congress. Bowman's stunt did not stop the bill which was passed 335-91 to keep the government funded for 45 days while the bill heads to the Senate. Speaker Kevin McCarthy dared his conservative critics to try to oust him as they have long threatened in a press conference after the vote. The story is here:
If he pulled it his prints are on it. Thought those things had a dye bomb on them?
ReplyDeleteGee, disrupting Congress. . . Wonde if he will end up in the DC Gulag like all the Jan 6 folks.
ReplyDeleteKnowingly causing a false alarm of fire is a misdemeanor in the District of Columbia Criminal Code (Section 22-1319), punishable by fine and/or imprisonment up to six months .
ReplyDeleteOf course, Bowman is both a DemocRat and a member of the privileged race, so he won't even be charged, let alone get convicted .
What a spoiled f-ing child that POS is.
ReplyDeleteYou know he's going to lie his way out of it, video notwithstanding.
ReplyDeleteAnother chance for the GOP to be called ray-ciss.
"Allegedly?" Toss his ass in jail for a month or so. Or make him bend over in front of the podium and every Republican congressman and congresswomen gets a turn hitting his ass with a wooden paddle. His choice.
