Go ahead. Have a cuppa Joe on me today...

 Today is National Coffee Day.
Who comes up with this crap?

Dunkin' has free coffee on National Coffee Day. Dunkin’ Rewards members can get a free medium iced or hot coffee with any purchase Friday. Krispy Kreme goes them one better, giving customers a free medium hot or iced coffee or espresso-based drink, no purchase necessary, on Friday. You can also treat the whole family or your co-workers when you buy any dozen donuts, with another dozen original glazed for $2.
Starbucks isn't giving anything away today. I've been in maybe four Starbucks in my entire life, and every time I was in one I've been disappointed one way or another, between idiot servers and goofy customers. Oh, and their coffee is so bitter I had to add like double the amount of sugar I'd normally use. Juss' sayin'...

Those crazy ole' laws of unintended consequences
seem to have struck again...

Over the last 30 or so years, Venice has become one of the most notable victims of what they're now calling 'overtourism'. The city currently welcomes an estimated 30 million visitors per year, far above the 50,000 residents that actually call it home. And more than two thirds of visitors come just for the day.
This month, Venice's municipal authorities announced plans to fight these issues with a controversial move: charging day trippers a €5 (6.00 US) entrance fee. This will make Venice the first city in the world to charge visitors to enter its premises. News of the entry fee has sparked controversies, and with travellers eager to understand how the new measure will affect them, BBC Travel talks to authorities and locals to understand when it starts, who will have to pay and how people can visit the city in a more 'sustainable way', whatever the fuck that means.

  1. The bomber guys in Paksitan are not doing it in the name of the God that your headline implies they do it for. Besides, your caption said they are doing it to celebrate mohammed, who is not even a god. So your headline in red is just stupid, actually.

  2. Commonly known as 'party plates'.

The restricted plates can be issued after a driver is convicted of their first offense DWI (OVI in Ohio) and must be ordered for those convicted of a first offense OVI with a high blood alcohol concentration test or after multiple offenses within a certain amount of years. Drivers don’t need to use party plates, they’re only required if the person is serving a suspension period and has requested limited driving privileges
