Growing up in the 50's and 60's in Newark, we listened to Nw York City area AM radio in the old man's station wagon. One thing was written in stone - you did not fuck with the old man's buttons. He set 'em and that's where they stayed, period.
From left to right, they were: 66 WNBC (newsradio), 77 WABC (a concesiion to the kids), 880 WCBS (news and talk radio), 1010 WINS (news and talk radio), and 1130 WNEW (news and talk and old-timey music radio).
I have a station on my DirecTV that plays nothing but 60's shit. Some great memories, but a lot of stuff I honest to god never heard before. I guess when you listened to top ten shit in NYC, the rest of the country was listening to something else entirely.

A Utah man who was accused of making threats to President Biden was shot and killed in an FBI raid. The man also threatened New York prosecutor Alvin Bragg.The FBI stated that Robertson had "intent to kill, at a minimum, D.A. Bragg and President Joe Biden."
Robertson allegedly said he needed to prepare his camouflage and sniper rifle in anticipation of Biden's trip to Utah this week.

If the Judge gives the Prosecutor's request to keep President Trump quiet it will not work. Trump will not be quiet and then the Judge would be forced to jail him, which would cause the whole case to collapse.

ReplyDeleteBack in 78 dad got a new GMC High Sierra pickup. I set all of the radio buttons to the Christian music station. The dealership couldn't figure out what was up with radio and replaced it with an upgraded head unit.
