Oh, no - not another strike! What will we watch now?

If this doesn't peg your 'Give a fuck' meter,
nothing will...

Tens of thousands of Hollywood actors are preparing to strike after last-ditch talks between their unions and streaming giants broke down just hours before a major deadline.
The Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) has agreed to one extension of talks with major studios.
But the union has been unable to agree a deal over issues around pay residuals and the use of artificial intelligence. On Thursday, it is expected to decide to join screenwriters on picket lines.
The negotiating committee of SAG-AFTRA, the union which represents 160,000 actors and performers, has now voted unanimously to recommend strike action to its board.

It had been seeking a fairer split of streaming profits and a guarantee
that AI will not be used to replace duties performed by actors.

  1. They can all go to hell as far as I'm concerned. They're already way overpaid.

  2. And? So what? There are only one or two good movies a year these days, so it's not like we, the public, are losing much.

  3. Go ahead and strike. I've got hundreds of DVD movies to keep me entertained. And a good many don't even come from Hollywood, because they are foreign films. In fact, I thing the actors and screenwriters should go on a hunger strike. See how much America cares about dead skinny bodies on the sidewalks of Hoollywood.

  4. What ever will the world do without some a list actors constantly reminding us how sexist , racist , deplorable, knuckle dragging simpletons we are? I know, I know, it will be tough but we can make it together... If you get to feeling good about yourself please stand by . The strike will not be forever and they will get back to their self avowed jobs as soon as they get a giant raise and health care squared away...
