A gunman - who's race was not disclosed - wearing a bulletproof vest opened fire on the streets of Philadelphia on Monday night, seemingly at a random, killing four people and wounding two boys in the latest outbreak of gun violence in the City of Brotherly Love.
The shootings took place over several city blocks in the southwestern neighborhood of Kingsessing. Responding officers chased the suspect as he continued to fire, and he was arrested in an alley after surrendering, Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said at a news conference."At this point all we know is that this person decided to leave their home and target individuals,” Outlaw said. More than 80,000 people live in this Southwest Philadelphia neighborhood. It's population is approximately 60% black, 36% white, and 4% Asian.

I really don't know why anyone stays there if they can leave. it not the place it was even 10 years ago let alone 40. but really a lot of the stores and factories started closing down back in the 1970's there. in the 1990's the school or university of Penn had the 4th largest police force in the state. can't have the parents paying 40 grand a year knowing their kid will be robbed or raped in their first year now can we. yeah. it is that bad. dave in pa.
