Drescher is leading the actors' union in a joint strike with writers, marking Hollywood's the biggest labor dispute in sixty years and bringing film and TV production to a halt.
Drescher's own career has spanned decades of cinema, television and Broadway, but she is most famous for starring in 90's sitcom The Nanny, which she created with her husband at the time, Peter Marc Jacobson - who later came out as gay.
