This was mine, but it was actually one of many. This was 'Spunky #5'.
Loved that little car. I had four of them over the years when I lived on St. John (note the license plate on this one when I was living back in NJ). The best thing about these tough little guys was that they only had about seven moving parts, and all of the parts where interchangeable over the years they made them. They did have a tendency to kinda 'kite' at speeds over about 50mph, so it never was meant to be a highway cruiser. It was not a comfy ride, either, but fuck they were a lot of fun.
The kid I sold this particular one to was so friggin' jacked when he bought it - for $ 4,500 cash. On the way to his house (about 20 miles from mine) the poor little bastard got T-boned by a little old lady and totalled the friggin' car. I felt so bad for him. But I did keep the money. Juss' sayin'...
a Pearl White 1974 Lincoln Continental MK4. A true land yacht. 460 4bbl. 19ft long, 5000+ pounds. The doors had to be at least 5 feet long. Every 16 year old kid should have one.
