Which is why changing your passwords regularly is important. If you change just one character in your passwords every 6 months they don't have to be that long before they are effectively uncrackable. 12 characters mixed case is pretty good protection but most sites require more complexity.
ReplyDeleteHollywood shows passwords being cracked character by character to build suspense. Actual cracking is fail until you pass with no feedback...
I like how 481 thousand years is in yellow. I'm sure in 481 thousand years no one will care what's behind my passwords.
ReplyDeleteI call BS. This claims that a 12 digit password can be cracked by brute force in 1 second. That's on the average 500,000,000,000 (a half trillion) attempts. What kind of server could possibly allow so many login attempts in one second?
