Ever since I saw that movie in the late-60's when I was in high school, I've wanted a copy of it for my own. Never have Glenn Miller and his superb band had a better showing than in that film. (And here's a bonus for you: the movie's plot revolves around a foreigner who must find a way to prove not to be a "public charge," or face deportation - which shows how different that is for today's masses of illegal alien foreign government now force us to pay.)
ReplyDeleteWouldn't have liked this as a kid but now as a retireable man its just classy. I hear the echos of lots of young men that gave everything over a few years from about this time.
