That's fine - I don't shop there anyway...

Sprouts is the kind of store I wouldn't go in to only because of the other people who do...

Sprouts is planning to eliminate single-use plastic bags in all of their stores across the nation. The giant grocer will also stop providing paper bags.
Sprouts stores are already canceling the bags as 132 of its California stores are free from single-use plastics. The grocery chain has about 380 stores across 23 states and plans to remove more than 200million of the bags from circulation each year. Sprouts will offer its customers reusable bags made from 40 percent post-consumer recycled material - but at a cost.
Ya see - I don't have a problem with an independent retailer making a decision like this because we have the power to decide for ourselves if we wanna shop there or not. Shit, Aldi has never provided bags as far as I know, but I know that's one of the ways they keep their prices down, so I'm cool with it.

What I'm not cool with is when the government gets involved in shit like this - like in NJ where the State passed a law banning the use and ditribution of paper and plastic bags statewide. That became a clusterfuck of global proportions. I have friends who've admitted having 30, even 40 of those 'eco-friendly' reusable bags at home now.

And this is how they make fun of their own stupidity.

Florida’s Republican-controlled legislature has passed a bill to allow people to conceal carry loaded guns anywhere — with or without a permit.
The bill, which Gov. Ron DeSantis has indicated he will sign, loosens the state’s already minimal gun laws, removing a layer of background checks, licensing and firearm training.
In recent months, DeSantis has called the bill “something that I’ve always supported.” If he does sign it, Florida will become the 26th state to have such a law.

Of course they're from Jersey...

A buddy of mine and his girlfriend came down and hung with us for a coupla days a few months ago. While they were here we went to Publix and WinnDixie and WalMart a coupla times, and every time we did we'd snatch a shitload of plastic bags fro the cashier's racks for them to take home with them 'cause she has a dog, see? They didn't think about THAT when they banned the bags, did they? She probably had a 100 or even more in her luggage when they split.

How people used to campaign for president before Twitter. Notice the Biden supporter behind JFK - the kid with the crew cut.

How did Sloppy Joe's Saloon on Duval Street
in Key West not make this list?

The funniest thing I thought about when I first saw this was the inclusion of the Temple Bar in Dublin. Prides itself as the 'oldest bar in Ireland' or some shit like that. It's owned by Russian Mafia guys.

  3. I do shop at Sprouts here in Kansas. There are a few things I get there that I can get nowhere else. So, my solution to the no-bag issue is to just bring my own plastic bag. Problem solved.

  4. The whole point of doggie-poo regulations is a strong push to get rid of dogs.
If owners don't walk dogs at all hours of the day and night, you no longer have a "volunteer" neighborhood surveillance corps thereby increasing all types of local crimes.
Dogs (as pooping pets) are the key to reducing neighborhood crime.

  5. The Hofbrauhaus deserves to be further up the list. Mediocre food and warm biersteins. It's an insult to German food and drink and yes, I speak from experience.

  7. Sprouts doesn't get my business because they don't recognize my Second Amendment rights.

  8. I first visited Checkpoint Charlie when it was an actual crossing point into East Berlin - definitely worth seeing, then .
Now, it's just a little booth next to a mediocre museum - I doubt that most people even know it still ( sort of ) exists, or why it was ever important .
