Are you a member of a club?

Maybe Groucho was right all along, but we're not talking about Kiwanis or Country Clubs. Lemme 'splain to you what is so easy to figure out I can't believe it took me so long to do so.

If you 'belong' to Sam's Club or BJ's (Don'tcha just love the implications in that name?) you can pay for your membership just by buying your gas there - you don't have to buy anything else.

I belonged to both, but I just shit-canned BJ's in favor of Sam's because the butcher shop is so much better there, but that's just a personal preferance. There's no Costco nearby me, but I'll assume they're on par with the other guys.
Say you fill up every three weeks or so like I do. 26 gal. tank in the F-150, and I usually get at least 20 gallons per fillup. Their gas prices for members are at least 25 cents less per gallon than the average gas station around here in No. Central Florida, so that's $ 5.00 I'm saving every fillup.

Fill up 15 times a year, and that's $ 75.00 saved.
Membership is only $ 50.00 a year. You do the math.

You can thank me later...

  1. We have Costco. I use the Gas Buddy app and linked fuel card. I can usually find fuel for Cosco/Sam's/BJ's fuel prices but I also need diesel which the clubs don't have. I have tried all three and Costco seemed to have better quality meats and items as well.

  2. With three vehicles, the savings on gas more than pay for our CostCo membership - everything else is pure gravy !
