I know you probably don't know or care about this one specific place going out of business in NJ, but when I saw the news item it made me think. This is the third or fourth truly iconic banquet hall that I knew of that has closed it's doors in the past year or so. I'm sure the covid lockdown bullshit had a lot to do with fucking up their business model and income, but this may point to a much bigger issue.
Kids today aren't getting married at the same ages and in the same numbers as we did. I could go off in ten different directions about why they are - or more specifically are not - following in our footsteps, but why bother. Traditions don't mean shit to them and we'll all be dead in 40 years or so, so fuck 'em.

As her 'colleagues' gathered on the House floor Thursday to decide her fate, Ilhan Omar could have offered one more apology. Instead, the Minnesota Democrat spoke to what she saw as a larger injustice: the silencing of a Black, Muslim woman. Herself.
The Republican-controlled House voted along party lines to remove Omar from the House Foreign Affairs Committee over previous comments she made about Israel that members of both parties viewed as antisemitic.
"Is anyone surprised that I am somehow deemed unworthy to speak about American foreign policy? Or that they see me as a powerful voice that needs to be silenced?" Omar said on the House floor moments before the 218-211 vote. "Frankly, It is expected. Because when you push power, power pushes back."
If ever there was an example of someone who really should be silenced, it's this hateful towel-headed cunt. How the fuck do people vote for people like her? It boggles the mind...

Montana Senator Steve Daines is concerned about the purported Chinese spy balloon floating above the US and speculates China's government is targeting the states nuclear missile fields.
Daines sent a letter to the Department of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Thursday as defense officials confirmed the massive balloon has been hovering over the northern United States for the last few days. The balloon was last seen flying above Billings, Montana on Wednesday. The state is home to fields of underground Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile silos.
