  1. Hate to be a spoilsport but, like lutefisk, you really shouldn't make a comment 'til you've tried it. I flew all over the mid-West US in every kind of weather (I wasn't rated to be up in) in a Cessna 150, probably a similar engine, but a high-wing, rather than the low-wing, retractable gear aircraft that's pictured. It's easier, safer, and fewer accident miles than driving a car. No idea why the "engine stalled", but there are simple, standard procedures for landing an aircraft in such an eventuality that every pilot learns (and practices) prior to obtaining his/her/its license.
