Education officials claim the policy is to prevent a boom in respiratory illnesses after 'increased mixing' during the first normal Christmas and New Year in years.

Its very simple. Do not send your kids to a .gov camp. Home School, Parochial School, plenty of options that are more successful. And, yes, Home schooling does require a bit of sacrifice. An adult needs to be there and teaching. It isn't hard, we did three kids. It also may require sacrificing other things like all the extra cable TV crap. Its well worth it
