The 'St. Edward's Crown' has been removed from the Tower of London to be resized for the King ahead of the Coronation of King Charlie. The historic centerpiece of the Crown Jewel Collection was taken away to allow for its modification before the ceremony on May 6th. It appears that ole' Chuck's head is considerably larger than any previus monarch.
The movement of the crown was kept secret until its safe delivery. Its current location has not been divulged. Other than that, they'll tell you everything you want to know about it.
A 'version' of it has been used during the coronations of English and British monarchs since the 13th Century. Can you imagine how much of a jerkoff that pompus motherfucker who had it made up in the first place musta been? Juss' sayin'...

Hey - I just wanna thank all of you guys who take the time and make the effort to comment on the posts.
I enjoy 'em and I'm sure other readers do as well, although if I took the time to respond to every one me and the old lady would starve to death, if you get my drift.
Thanks again for all of you interest, and don't hesitate to tell people about us here. The blog averages just about 10,000 +/- page views a day, and I'm sure as fuck proud of that number...
The designs are the result of an official collaboration between the brand and VAIN, a freshly launched Helsinki-based fashion label run by designer Jimi Vain, representing an interesting new entry into a years-long trend that’s seen big names like TELFAR and Forever 21 pair with fast casual chains like White Castle and Taco Bell. The goal? Come up with bizarre, lighthearted new garments to be sold at accessible prices.

A restaurant in Bangkok has been continuously cooking and serving from the same soup for over 45 years, a form of "perpetual stew." I think if I knew this was what I was eating, it'd be a little hard to swallow if ya catch my crift...

They're thinking of remaking Hitchcock's classic 'The Birds' - but without the birds. Seems they don't want to offend the PETA people and a couple of bird watchers in Provincetown.

Nancy Green (1834-1923), a former slave from Mt. Sterling, KY, moved to Chicago after the Civil War, where she went on to become one of the first African American models employed by an American company to promote a product. Green was the first person to portray the character Aunt Jemima.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of unnecessary remakes,I read somewhere that they are going to remake Easy Rider.
