If it isn't something, it's something else. Reperations? GTFOH...

If you thought you saw stupid shit coming from the Speaker during Nancy's reign, grab a cup of coffee and a comfortable chair, 'cause this fuckin' guy is gonna be the new Minority speaker when the Red Guys take control of Congress. He wants to take your money and give it away to 7th generation people who have nothing to do with being 'enslaved' - and all of this in the name of 'reparations' for something that happened 160 years ago. Go ahead - grab a cup. I'll wait here.
He supports legislation to create a commission to study reparations for descendants of enslaved people.
H.R. 40, authored by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, calls for the creation of an expert panel to study the legacy of slavery and consider reparations for the descendants. The legislation has passed the Judiciary Committee, but Pelosi never brought it to the floor for a vote.
"The call for reparations represents a commitment to entering a constructive dialogue on the role of slavery and racism in shaping present-day conditions in our community and American society," said Jackson.

Jeffries, if  he is elected, would be the 'first Black man to lead a major party in Congress', as if that's somehow important. He was one of the bill's earliest supporters when it was first introduced in 2019.
During a hearing on the bill in the House Judiciary Committee last year, he said  "A study is the least Congress could do for the descendants of enslaved people after generations of injustice. We're not going to move on because after slavery, [there was] Jim Crow and the rise of the KKK," Jeffries said at the time. "And the lynching epidemic. And Plessy v. Ferguson. And Black Wall Street in 1921 destroyed."
Holy fuck - ya really gotta wonder if these money-grubbing, angry, racist jerkoffs can sleep okay at night. How can you when you spend so much of your life fomenting hatred like this?

It's amazing how easy it is to take almost any frame from an
Archie comic book and take it out context to mean something completely different. My question is wether or not the guys who wrote and drew these things did this on purpose. I'm starting to believe they did...

Fuck leftovers - I made this last night for dinner.

Is it really fair to blame the Government for the cost of firewood going up? Absolutely, especially when that same Government has floated 14 trillion dollars in reckless, unnecessary spending in less than two years, flooding the market with cash while at the same time limiting other energy options for us to use and choose. You're fuckin'-A right you can blame the Government for this.

This is my Legion Post - it's in Key Largo. Really great people and it happens to be a pretty cool little pub.
Stop in and say hi if you're ever in the area.

In 1950, American children could get the Gilbert U-238 Atomic Energy
Lab - a kit allowing them to make nuclear reactions at home using 'actual radioactive material'. Thankfully, it was removed from shelves the next year.

Inflation isn't the only reason that Thanksgiving turkey you ate Thursday cost so much more - more than doubled - than it did last year.
Avian influenza also was a big culprit, so big that the United States experienced a record number of domestic bird deaths this year because of the disease.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture said the total of 50.54 million deaths in 46 states of birds, chickens, turkeys and other fowl from the disease, also known as the bird flu, surpassed the record of 50.5 million in 21 states that occurred during a bird flu outbreak in 2015.
Explains some of the growing food price issues, doesn't it?

I've never quite understood the phrase 'kicking a dead horse' but I guess this comes as close as I can get to understanding what it means. If the economy stays in the shitter as it most likely will, for them to focus on this subject - which the vast majority of Americans really don't give a shit about when they're freezing and their gas tanks are empty - might be, and hopefully will be, a catastrophic failure of judgement. Crash and burn if you go that way, lunkheads.
There's an article in The Hill today that addresses this topic very well. You can find it here:

For some god-knows-what reason I think this is sexy as fuck. I hope
that doesn't mean I'm some kinds friggin' perv or something...

Sometimes, especially if you live in the backwoods or the boonies somewhere, it's hard to imagine that places like Amalfi even exist.

  1. Now it's international climate change reparations, the money going to the sh*thole countries that pollute the most per capita. Note that not a wooden nickle is coming from China or India in this latest scam.

As for slavery reparations? GTFO. You've got to be ancient if you can honestly claim that you had a great-grandparent who worked as a slave, even if they were just 10 years old then, and you actually knew them. Now let's subtract all the handouts, all the government programs, all the affirmative action, and all the other benefits. Probably this kind of reparations analysis would show that THEY owe US a big pile. Let's collect.

  2. "... We're not going to move on because after slavery, [there was] Jim Crow and the rise of the KKK..."

I don't suppose it would do any good to point out all these were done by the Democrats, would it?
I predict this clown and Nancy will run right over whatever Speaker the Republicans elect and it won't matter if the Republicans have a majority or not.

  4. I could support reparations if they had a mandatory loss of citizenship and one-way trip back to Africa for anyone who participated .
