That's Navarre in Portugal. Those guys are batshit crazy. Waves routinely over 100 feet tall.
ReplyDeleteI learned how to surf in the 3 to 4 foot waves at Fernandina as a teenager with a 7.5' board. I got to surf the 6 foot waves in San Diego when I was in my early 40's. When I was 45 I was in Hawaii and there were 10 to 12 foot waves. I was way out of my element with a 10 foot wave and a short board. BTW the coral on the bottom will give you a nasty infection. It was 8 years ago I last surfed on a 7' board in Guam where there were 5 and 6' waves. I was 53 then.
