I appreciate anyone who celebrates the every-day,
blue-collar working man...
Mike Rowe, host of 'Deadliest Catch' and 'Dirty Jobs,' called out Americans for their lack of appreciation of blue collar workers who help keep the country running.

There's a very good article on this subject in this afternoon's Daily Mail. Find it here:

With my buddy when his wife calls, says go pick up 35 y/o son, he has flat and is gonna borrow my car. Get there, I go 'why don't we pop it off and we'll run you to garage to get fixed'. Nah, insurance co. will tow tomorrow for repair, I'll just use my mom's car. There it is.
ReplyDeleteBlue collar workers are looked down upon.....until the morons with egos and attitudes need something fixed. Then they whine and cry about not being able to find someone who can do the job at a price they are willing to pay.
ReplyDeleteI know of a large downtown apt complex in denver, runs about four grand a month. the management company has a history of stiffing tradesmen. now, their upper floors in one building has sanitary plumbing issues that is affecting the lower floors plumbing creating what we call 'brown fountains'. they keep calling and no one goes out there. comes a time to learn the error of their ways.
