The video below shows when a stunt pilot crashed his plane during a Nevada air race in front of thousands of horrified fans, leaving the pilot dead. The video posted to Twitter on Sunday starts off with two planes racing across the Reno mountains, when one gets too low and crashes into a field. It quickly erupts into a ball of fire, sending flames flying as it skids across the grass and breaks apart into several pieces. The pilot was identified online as 61-year-old Aaron Hogue, the 2021 Rookie of the Year.

Rookie o the year last year? Means he was inexperienced at racing. 61 years old and that picture shows he's not exactly svelte. Probably in less than perfect physical shape. Now a rookie with less than perfect health is pulling a high G turn racing a jet. Odds are he G LOCed, passed out and the plane flew itself into the ground.
