When you think most people are intelligent, think again. Trust me on this...

Ever been to a Dollar General store?
They sell this there...

People obviously buy them. This is absolutely no-doubt-about-it, stone cold solid, absolute, you ain't ever gonna lose money betting on this shit, proof positive that the people around you are a lot stupider than you think they are...

A 1945 aircraft accident in which a B-25 Mitchell bomber, piloted in thick fog over New York City, crashed into the Empire State Building. The accident did not compromise the building's structural integrity, but it did cause fourteen deaths.

Some people just have too much time and money.
This is a golf cart here in The Villages.

Long Island, N.Y., based artist Randall Rosenthal created these
jaw-dropping wood sculptures made of Vermont white pine and acrylic paint.

And each new one he creates sells for hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Crazy shit, right? very cool, though.

Sen. Bernie Sanders is no stranger to crazy ideas, but even he has publicly ripped this bullshit 'Inflation Reduction Act'. He spoke Saturday about it doing little to fight inflation and not enough to help Americans struggling to afford health care, child care and housing.
“According to the Congressional Budget Office and other economic organizations that have studied this bill, it will have a minimal impact on inflation,” Sanders declared on the Senate floor to open debate on the 755-page bill, which will raise taxes on corporations, fight climate change and reduce some prescription drug costs.
Sanders argued the Democratic bill falls far short of what is needed when Americans are growing increasingly disillusioned with government and a 'tiny fraction of wealthy individuals and families own a hugely disproportionate share of the nation’s wealth' - even though he himself is a multi-millionaire.

Hey - that's just Bernie being Bernie, but he's correct in that one aspect. Calling this piece of shit new green deal bullshit legislation the 'Inflation Reduction Act' insults even his intelligence, and that's not easy to do with someone as thick-headed as he is...

Morning bathers in Las Vegas watch the mushroom cloud from an atomic test just 75 miles away back in 1953. The cloud had a brilliant red and purple cast. I wonder how loud it was that far away...

I had almost exactly the same thing happen to me on Macarter Highway in Newark sometime back in the mid-70's, but it was a dump truck who's back raised up just before we both went under an underpass. Man -  that motherfucker was LOUD. Did you notice this asshole's windshield was cracked before the truck hit the sign? WTF is up with that?

This is getting to be a serious problem here in Florida - and around the country. Five Florida insurance companies have gone out of business so far this year - Weston Property & Casualty, Southern Fidelity, Lighthouse Property Insurance Corporation, Avatar Property and Casualty Insurance and St. Johns Insurance Company. “Most of them are leaving the state or they’re getting downgraded because they don’t have the financials to back up the people on their books,” said John Risk of AAA. This moves are pushing people to look for other companies or be forced into the state run Citizens Insurance. “I think the more that we push people that should be able to obtain private insurance into citizens. I think it’s going to cost taxpayers more,” said Reid McDaniel, who has helped people successfully shop for lower rates. He predicts the rising rates will ultimately cost the state of Florida. “It’s like everybody is moving to Florida but I think everybody is going to start moving out because we can’t even afford or they’re not going to insure our homes.” More homeowners fear they could be next after three more companies saw their ratings downgraded just this week.

Oak Ridge, Tennessee, then known only as the Clinton Engineering Works, was conspicuously absent from any map. On 60,000 acres of farmland framed by the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, it was one of the United States’ three secret cities—remote sites chosen by Manhattan Project director Gen. Leslie Groves, evacuated of their civilian inhabitants, and developed for the specific purpose of producing an atomic bomb. The men and women of the Clinton Engineering Works would help provide the material for the first two bombs. This billboard faced in on the property as a warning to those leaving to shut the fuck up when they got out...

  1. Bernie might talk trash about the Inflation Reduction Act, but I'm calling it now that he'll vote for it. How many RINOs vote for it remains to be seen.

  2. Those "Morning bathers in Las Vegas": I wonder at what ages they died and of what?
